Who we are
ITICP Ltd operates iticp.org and the member CPD portal at cpd.iticp.org. Our contact address is 630 Birchwood Boulevard, Birchwood, Warrington, WA3 7QU, United Kingdom. For questions about cookies or your privacy, email membership@iticp.org. Our Data Protection & GDPR Policy explains our wider handling of personal information.
What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Browser local storage and session storage can also remember information on your device. We use these technologies for secure sign-in, website protection, remembering cookie choices and, only with your permission, embedded YouTube videos.
Essential sign-in, security and preference storage
Essential cookies support services you request and do not need optional-cookie consent. Blocking them may stop sign-in and member-only features from working. The following describes our website and CPD sign-in setup; a cookie is only set when its associated feature is used.
- WordPress sign-in: cookies whose names begin
wordpress_logged_in_,wordpress_sec_orwordpress_identify an authenticated session. Normal login uses browser-session cookies; choosing Remember Me can keep login cookies for up to 14 days. Server-side access can expire sooner.wordpress_test_cookiechecks whether cookies work and lasts for the browser session. Signing out clears the applicable login cookies. - Website protection: Wordfence may use
wfwaf-authcookie-followed by an identifier to distinguish an authenticated user and their access level. It normally lasts up to 12 hours and can be renewed while you remain signed in. If new-device login alerts are enabled,wf_loginalerted_followed by an identifier can remember that a device has already triggered an alert for up to one year. These are not used to enable advertising. - WordPress interface preferences:
wp_langcan remember the selected login language for the browser session. For users of the WordPress administration area,wp-settings-andwp-settings-time-followed by a user identifier can remember display preferences for up to one year. - CPD sign-in:
iticp_cpd_statehelps match a sign-in response to the request you started and lasts up to 10 minutes.iticp_cpd_sessionidentifies your CPD session and lasts up to eight hours. The sign-in state is cleared when the callback is processed, and CPD logout clears these cookies. The server also checks the session and membership; a cookie alone does not grant access. These cookies contain security tokens, not your password or CPD record contents. - Your cookie choices: Complianz uses cookies beginning
cmplz_to remember consent categories, allowed services and the version of the policy or banner. Our configured cookie-choice lifetime is up to 365 days. Related browser session storage supports the banner during a browsing session. You can change your choices at any time or remove stored choices in your browser.
Cookie expiry is not the retention period for membership records, CPD records or security logs. Those are separate matters covered by our wider privacy information.
Optional YouTube videos
Some pages contain YouTube videos. The embedded player is blocked until you allow the Embedded videos (YouTube) category. Accepting optional cookies permits these videos; rejecting optional cookies leaves them blocked. You can still browse the website and use essential member services without accepting videos.
When enabled, the player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain, youtube-nocookie.com. Loading or interacting with a video connects your browser to Google/YouTube and may involve device information, your IP address, cookies or browser storage. Privacy-enhanced mode is not a promise of no tracking or storage. Google controls the particular third-party storage and its duration; see Google’s information about cookies and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Change or withdraw your choice
On iticp.org, use the persistent Cookie settings button to accept or reject optional cookies or choose settings for embedded videos. Optional videos are off until you choose to allow them. To withdraw permission, reopen Cookie settings and reject optional cookies, or turn off embedded videos and save your choices. This blocks the embedded players again.
Withdrawal does not undo processing that already took place. Third-party information already stored on your device may also need to be deleted through your browser settings. Cookie choices are specific to your browser and device. Our main-site banner does not control a separate website you open directly. The CPD portal uses the essential sign-in cookies described above; the YouTube choice relates to the main website’s embedded videos.
Browser controls
Your browser settings let you inspect, block and delete cookies and other website storage. Deleting login cookies may sign you out. Deleting cookie-choice cookies means the website may ask for your choice again. Browser privacy modes and extensions may also affect storage and how long it lasts.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our use of these technologies changes. If we introduce a new optional purpose that needs consent, we will ask before enabling it.
