Membership

For those studying full time or undertaking an apprenticeship within the testing, inspection and certification industry.

Applicants must satisfy Council that they meet this requirement. Unsuccessful student applicants will need to apply for an appropriate higher membership grade.

For those with at least three years’ experience in the testing, inspection and certification industry.

Relevant qualifications, usually Level 3 or equivalent, or demonstrated competence through sustained involvement in the industry.

For those with at least five years’ experience in the testing, inspection and certification industry.

Relevant qualifications, usually at least Level 4 or equivalent, or demonstrated competence through sustained involvement in the industry.

For those who have regularly served and represented the Institute, making a significant contribution to its recognition and standing.

Election is at an Annual General Meeting. Fellowships or Chartered Member status with other professional institutes may be considered. Please speak with us before applying.
